Garda speed camera

Driving on N11 northbound yesterday evening on section around Ashford where it's 100kph. I wasn't really paying attention to where I was on the road, and hadn't dropped my speed, I was still around 115kph when I drove past a garda with his camera :(

I slowed, but I'd imagine he still saw I was speeding. I wasn't pulled over so my question is, do they always pull you over, or can you get these fines just through the post?

You'll be getting an 80 euro fine through the post and 2 points, they never flag you down anymore the system records your number plate, speed ,time and date and expect it in 10 days or less.

An indicated 115 is only a real 107 or so in my car at least, so I wouldn't worry too much about the ticket. Daydreaming at speed is another matter, though..

Was it a gard with a speed gun or a van?

If it's a gard with a gun and he didn't pull you over then it's my understanding that you'll be fine, seeing as the guns only record your speed, they don't process your reg or any other details (I'm open to correction on this)
