    Hi there,

Was involved in a accident a little over 2 weeks ago when another driver drove into me. His Insurance company has accepted full liability. Provided me with a courtesy car. Been offered half the value for my van not happy about this was taken to hospital the day of accident wasn't too bad, sore back neck. Put last few weeks been hell sinus infection, sore neck ( feels like having a helmet on) migraines. Back between shoulder blades and my hips are bad. Been on pain killers and will need physio. Missed work. Family business, Up to the accident I was running over 30k and cycling 150k per week doing Fe$k all at the moment and depressed off my head. What am I entitled too? Don't want to go down solicitor or PIAB route.

    Thanks

You're entitled to accept what you've been offered - or go down the solicitor or PIAB route. Can't see any other legal options open to you.

    You need legal advice.

As said above, if you're not comfortable working out an appropriate compensation figure yourself (most people wouldn't be), then you will need professional advice from a solicitor.

    Have a look on

    http://www.injuriesboard.ie/eng/

You can go down that route and they will asses how much the claim is worth.

They have an estimator on their site.

With regards the value of the van you are entitled to get prices from dealers to replace the van with like for like and bring these to the insurer if you feel that the amount they are offering is too low. Basically it is up to them to leave you no worse off than you were before the accident, so if you are not happy with what they are offering then dont accept it.

With everything else you have mentioned though I agree with others when they say get legal advise; it sounds like you will be claiming for a lot more than just the cost of replacing your van.
