San Marino - Customs Charges.

Hi all, I am planning on buying in goods from San Marino, could anyone tell me if I will have to pay customs? I have this idea in my head that customs is not paid if we buy something from the EU, I could be mistaken on this, but San Marino is its own state and I am not sure if it is also privy to this. I could be entirely wrong, and I apologise if I sound like an idiot, but I am not knowledgeable in these matters.

    Any advice is appreciated!

    Hi

You should not have to pay customs.

San Marino is not party to the Schengen Agreement, however it has an open border with the EU (although some random police checks are made) and has had a customs union with the EU (since 1991, including agricultural produce since 2002).
