Hi, a former colleague in the US wants to setup a presence in the EU and is looking at Ireland as a likely place to establish a company/legal entity.

Where could I direct them to search for a suitable accountancy and/or legal service to assist with this?

You mean, ahem, the company you suggested your friend set up...

    http://www.connectireland.com/

He could start with the IDA and work from there.

I know this crowd deal with UK companies anyway that have setup companies and legal entities over here.Accounts, invoicing, payroll and everything else.

Otherwise your talking about the big 4 accountants Pwc, Deloitte, E&Y and KPMG. Only the The big 4 charge big money!

I've worked with TMF in other countries but not in Ireland - http://www.tmf-group.com/

Any of the top 10 or 20 accountancy firms will be able to help.
