    It looks very like a plant I have - Dioscorea elephantipes. Yours looks like the young form, but it could be a different species of Dioscorea. It's a type of yam from South Africa, D. elephantipes is called Hottentot bread or Elephants football. The swollen caudex will grow huge over time. Very cool plant! Don't overwater:)
