    If Steve completes this swim, he would be the first person to complete the Ocean Seven swims.
    His tracker is here;

    He was initially pulled out due to bad weather, but I beleive he is back in.

    Unfortunately Steve had to be pulled after about 13 hours due to adverse currents. He had been trying to fight them for 8 or 9 hours at that stage with little forward progress-he has amazing mental strength. That was his second try in the week-the first ended after 4 hours due to awful weather.

    From his Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Steve-Redmonds-Oceans-7-Swim-Challenge/164815306903048) it looks like he's on his way home now. Hopefully he'll get the chance to head back out there soon and give it another shot.

    There are lots of people working towards the Oceans Seven but at the moment himself and an Australian lady called Penny Palfrey have the most completed-both have six done. Penny has the North Channel left (Scotland to Ireland) and is hoping to complete that in August. She's due to attempt the swim from Cuba to Florida (103miles) in the next few weeks though, so it may depend on how well her recovery goes at to whether she'll go for the North Channel or not.

    Fingers crossed that Steve gets another go at it soon, it would be great to have an Irish man to be the first!
