back pain

Hey guys looking for expertise here. I went for a 80km spin today and it was fine,my fitness levels are not bad as I train 3-4 times in gym per week so I didn't really feel the distance. I adjusted my saddle before my spin as I was watching YouTube videos on correct saddle position. Mine was too low.

After the spin though I have a slight pain in the middle of my back just under my neck and I wondering is there anything I can do with my bike that will prevent that pain from happening again?

I remember those videos saying that your arms should not be fully extended on the handlebars and that there should be a slight bend in them to absorb vibrations and rough spots coming from the road, those vibrations from road are transfered to your back. Would this be why I have a pain in my back now, and if so would that mean my saddle needs adjusting again?

    Thanks in advance.

See a doctor regarding pain and I'd say get set up properly on the bike by somebody who does it. Some bike shops offer bike fitting.

    Prob worth checking out

Seat could be Two High, so when you are pedaling you lower back is also moving side to side..

best bet is to get it fitted to your height

You make it sound like you are new enough to cycling .If that is the case then I wouldn't be panicing .You are going to suffer some way doing 80k.Taking up cycling people suffer from neck shoulder pain. Its only natural no matter how fit you are.Your body needs to get used to the bike position.Build up your mileage don't start off at 80km.

Ok. Cheers for that. I was thinking it could be that. I am new to cycling and trying to learn about it as I go along. I have done a few spins in the last few weeks doing 20km and today wasn't my first spin but today was certainly my longest one and contained more climbs and hills etc.
