    Every time I log onto facebook on firefox the page just freezes and I get this error message

    A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

    Tried to download the script and got:

    ERROR: The certificate of `s-static.ak.fbcdn.net' is not trusted.
    ERROR: The certificate of `s-static.ak.fbcdn.net' hasn't got a known issuer.

    You might have some malware or something.

    I assume you're on windows? I'm guessing it's malware. Unfortunately, I'm not a windows user and maybe someone who is can better advise but here's a link to a malware removal tool from the microsoft website:

    fbcdn.net is owned by Facebook (Facebook content delivery network) - see whois for confirmaiton.

    A brand new certificate arrived on s-static.ak.fbcdn.net a few hours ago. It seems likely that someone forgot to renew or replace the old certificate on the server before it expired :pac:

    * Server certificate:
    * subject: C=US; L=Palo Alto; O=s-static.ak.fbcdn.net; OU=s-static.ak.fbcdn.net; ST=CALIFORNIA; CN=s-static.ak.fbcdn.net
    * start date: 2012-06-19 19:15:36 GMT
    * expire date: 2013-05-11 23:59:00 GMT
    * common name: s-static.ak.fbcdn.net (matched)
    * issuer: C=US; O=Akamai Technologies Inc; CN=Akamai Subordinate CA 3
    * SSL certificate verify ok.


    tl;dr: Should work for you now.
