Do I need a new social security number?

    Hey, I haven't lived in the US since I was like 5 but I still have my old social security number, do I need a new one or what if I wanna work back there?

    Your social security number is yours for life, no need for a new one.
    However, having one does not mean you are legal to work- you need to be a US citizen (for example if you were born there?), greencard holder, or hold a valid visa which allows work.
