Audi A4 instrument cluster

I replace the battery in my 2002 A4 a few weeks ago and ever since then Ive had inaccurate readings on my cluster. With the car switched off the speedo rests about 5minutes bleow zero, the rev counter about 10 minutes below and the fuel gauge rests at about a quarter tank. The temp gauge seems to be ok i.e. resting at zero.

Is it just a case of opening the dash and resetting the needles manually or is further calibration required?

Sounds to me like you have the wrong battery. Check to make sure it's the correct battery for your car.

Thought that myself but the motor factors and some internetting confirmed that it is the right one.

Had this as a fail on my nct (speedo malfunction etc)
Needle rests below zero on speedo and rev counter.
Think it's the stepper motor controlling these needles, they give up after so many miles.
Just take out the speedo and "giggle" it until it rests back at zero.
This will work just fine..(to pass the nct)

    Hope this helps
