external ssd ?

    Well i just want to know is there such a thing as a external usb SSD :)

    Essentially, yes.

    Most large external disks are mechanical instead of solid state because they're cheaper to make and you'll probably encounter a bottleneck transferring data over USB, which makes the extra speed of an SSD pointless. :)

    Is it just a hypothetical question? Hypothetically it's possible to stick an SSD in an external enclosure. With USB 3.0 you might get reasonable performance out of it. For my mind though an SSD should always host the OS. This is where you'll "feel" the most benefit from it.

    Ye i was thinking of something like that, i am wanting it for gaming soo would i work ? :D
