    Hello Boards.ie members

The Clondalkin Tidy Towns group has started on a campaign to rid the streets and green areas of Clondalkin Village of the ghastly site of litter. Following a well attended Public Meeting held on the 6th March in Clondalkin Civic Offices which was supported by Local Councillors and TD's, it was decided to set up a committee and put some plans in place. Our first public gathering took place on Tuesday 13th March and we had about 20 people come out to give a helping hand. The following Tuesday saw the group grow to over 23 people and in glorious weather.

The group meets every Tuesday at 6.30pm and Saturday morning at 10am in Tuthills car-park in the village with the aim to tackle the litter problem and removing weeds from the footpaths.

    Our aim:

To generate awareness, co-operation and enthusiasm amongst the people of Clondalkin in a concerted effort to enhance the natural, historic and built environment of the village.

    Our objectives:

    • Increase pride and morale in the community
    • Public awareness of litter and waste management
    • Improve waste management
    • Reduce waste
    • Wildlife conservation and enhancement
    • Protection of fresh water resources
    • A healthier environment

    Volunteers Needed!

Would you like to help us, can you spare one or two hours a week to lend a hand and join a group of Clondalkin residents and business owners to clean up our Village.

Tell your friends, family and neighbours to come along and help us clean up Clondalkin bit by bit. Everyone is invited and we are hoping to see as many local faces as possible.

Please feel free to leave comments or suggestions on here and let us know if there is anywhere that needs our attention in Clondalkin

Fair play for giving it a go to spruce up the old village
