external hard drive build

    How can I build a external hard drive? What do I need.. I'm wanting to build one as I dont want to pay 130euro for the drive to store backups for my pictures..

    Can anyone tell me can I do this?
    I don't want links to crap youtube video's ;)

    from an internal hard drive? if that is possible..

    I just want it as a backup for storage of pictures...

    You can buy cases and install drives into them. 2.5 and 3.5" drives.
