They must be one of the very few (only?) shops selling Seiko automatics.

The only one I remember, they have a few 5's you can see one in the pic, they all sell for over €100 when you can get them much cheaper online, but it was the monster that irked me somewhat.

The guys in Wiers hadn't even heard of an automatic Seiko :-(

That's ridiculous. They hadn't heard of Grand Seiko's?

^ Really ? They always have some top end stuff in the windows; Sportura and Arctura.

All the Sportura they had were kinetic but not automatic. I'm wearing one at the moment.
I don't think they do grand Seiko either.

Perhaps I was just unlucky with the guy I was talking to.

I think Sheerans were/are stocking Spring Drives.

    Aha - didn't realise that.

You're right they don't do Grand Seiko - no where in Dublin does. I do remember looking at an Omega Speedy Pro and the assistant who showed it to me recognised my GS for what it is and asked where I got it from - a very nice and competent asian woman who almost got me over the line for the Speedy :D

I think they do have a couple of Spring Drives in the display as well though.

Isn't that a restriction made by seiko themselves?

Don't really know - there are stockists in London, Paris, Amsterdam. Is anyone in Ireland really clamouring to stock Seiko's which retail for 000's or is it that they are but Seiko are unwilling to let them ?

I was up in Timemark http://www.timemark.ie/Seiko/ the Seiko service centre in Ballymount ind. est. and they have a cabinet of spring drives. The place is well decked out with signs for the Grand Seiko but some of the displays were empty.

The prices were pretty steep compared to online prices, they even have the Spork in stock. I think someone here mentioned that they had to have their jeweller import one for them.

I was looking for a little spring tube for the bar that holds the links on, I was resizing one and the tube went a flying, check out the new Solar chronographs they are a really nice watch.

I must be wrong - I could have sworn I had read that Seiko limited the sales of the Grand Seiko range, but clearly not.
