    Hey All,

Problem with my iphone 4s, When i turn it off, It automatically turns on itself and basically can't turn it off fully at all, When the battery goes dead it appears to keep trying to turn on.

Any idea's what the problem could be and how to mend it?

Running on ios 5.1.1 btwso im up to date.

    Thanks.

I have never heard of this error before and I've seen most of them, but if I had to hazard a guess I would think that maybe there is an issue with the dock connector. When you plug the phone in to a power source it turns itself on so it could be a crossed pin on the bottom port.

as a solution you could put it into air plane mode which uses minimal power.

as it's a 4s you still have the option to send it back to apple for repair.

    Cheers for the reply kjl,

Its a strange one alrite cause i can't come accross it much on the internet,

I can turn it off,Hav it pluged in and it won't come on, But when I that the plug out it come on automatically, Only way is by sticking it on Air plane mode but wouldn't mind turning it once in awhile if you know what I mean :) Just one of them bugs that is annoying me.

Also Am I better bringing it to Vodafone or Compub stores in Dublin?

I'm having the same issue since Sunday. Only noticed as I was trying to turn it off during a flight. I don't really turn my phone off ever but there are times when I'm low on battery and might turn it off to use later.

Have you tried backing up and then restoring the iPhone using iTunes? I know its a bit extreme but usually helps resolve software issues.

Also I'm presuming you've tried a soft reset?

How old is the Iphone? If it is still within the 12 month warrenty period, get in touch with Apple as they will send you out a new Iphone within two to three working days for free and will also arrange to have your old one collected by courier for nothing as well.
Well at least thats what they did for me when I had to get mine replaced!

Worth a shot! and if its not under warranty then you can go through the hassle of restoring through iTunes! After that... won't go there!
