Replacing radio in the car??

I've a Dihatsu Curoe with a Blaupunkt Dubin C 30 radio in it.

I've noticed there's an option in the menu for 'Aux On/Off' although I can't find any Aux port to attach an iPod for example. Basically I want to be able to play my iPod and I've one of two options... which would be best?

    Buy one of these?

Or buy a new better radio? and if so, which one?

    Thanks

Have you tried popping the radio out to see if there is an AUX input on the rear of it?

From looking at the manual online, it would appear as though there is an AUX port on it somewhere, if you can't see it, chances are it's on the rear of the head unit.

Then you just need to buy a 3.5mm-3.5mm cable and feed it down/up/wherever you want the connection to be. I actually found Harvey Norman really good for them if you want one cheap enough (€5) and don't want to wait for an eBay seller to post.

No Aux port on it anywhere. No where on the front, taken it out, nothing on the back and nothing behind it either. It's a useless piece of equipment in all honesty :p

Think I'm going to have to go along the cassette+lead option :/

Very strange for it to be in the Manual yet not there...

Could be using a non AUX input at the stereo end. Actually eBay just threw this up...

Although it says there that it might not be recognised by a Factory fit head unit (???)

Very strange, anyway maybe just get a new Head Unit, always a fun thing to go looking for and purchase and sure you can pick one up these days for under €100 that will have all the inputs you'll need/want and also be Bluetooth etc...

cheers for looking, but the budget at the minute is pretty damn tight. I can pick up a belkin cassette thing that attaches to the ipod for under a tenner.

just a bit crap the way the radio itself doesn't have one because I went to buy an aux lead and then realise it wont fit in anywhere. my bad i guess.

    thanks anyway!
