Second from the left. The 7670m is a good card for 1366X768 (and my budget) and the rest of the specs are good too....but after ordering it I've found I could have gotten a lot of discounts on it :(

I plan to return and reorder it with the coupon and fatcheese discounts (but the return will cost me €25, so that's gone.) but just wondering if it's a good deal after all? It seems so to me, but maybe there's something bad about it that didn't come across in the reviews?

Sorry id this doesn't follow the rules template, but that seems to ask for suggestions instead of opinions on a specific model?

Gaming, primarily, is why I'm buying it. Well, I mean I'll use it for typing Word documents and general internet use, but I'm going on Study Abroad in September, and beyond that I live in College part-time anyway (I live there during the week, go home on weekends) and I just don't have much space so it needs to be a laptop, I know a laptop won't excel at games (affordably).

The video card is supposed to good enough, and the rest of the specs are pretty good too (I don't need an i5).

It all seems good, but I want to return it to add some discounts and re-order it, so I might as well ask about it before buying it again...

Anyway, it doesn't need to have a good battery life really, I won't really be bringing it to classes, I just write my notes. But it does need to carryable.

I can get the Dell for cheaper then those if I return it and use discounts, and it has better specs :/

Is Dell bad? I'd read good reviews....

To clarify: I already bought it. I plan to return it (€20+VAT cost, unfortunately) and rebuy it with a 10% discount + a 3% discount at Fatcheese, which will bring it down to €580 or so, although I'll have paid €610 or so after the return. I only discovered the bargains board on here after buying it. I had looked for coupons and only found expired ones.

Can you copy and paste of that Dell.?

I will be biased but I have had two Dell laptops in the past and only had problems with them.

So no Dell for me personally speaking.

    Intel Core i3-2370M (3M Cache, 2.40 GHz)
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
15.6in High Definition (1366X768) WLED with TrueLife
    6GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz
1TB (5,400rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
    8x DVD+/-RW Optical Drive
    1GB AMD Radeon HD 7670M
    2.74 kg.

€650. A 10% coupon I missed brings it down to €585 and then there's another discount offer to take 3% off.

Hmm, they're problematic? :( I hope this return is no problem then.....gah.

It shouldn't no problem returning it as long as the laptop box is unopened.

Will post a few more links tomorrow.

    ....OK...

....So, I just got two emails from Dell. The first is a long-delayed reply to my request for a cancellation of my order that I asked for a few hours after buying it and got no response and my money processed. Now they've finally emailed just to confirm, yes, I'll need to return it.....though maybe I can get the 25€ off? The email's not clear.

The second is hilarious: I've been randomly selected to have to provide proof of my identity. A scanned passport, or something....or else my order will be cancelled.

    .....?

...So......if I don't, will I get the refund they apparently can't do even though they will if I don't fax them some ID I've suddenly been chosen to supply? Can I get the refund and buy it again then, like I wanted? (Yes, I know their rep now, but......it's the PERFECT specs and price :( ) Or will I be blacklisted for not complying?

This is the sort of nightmare I imagined trying to convince myself to buy online. :/

Uggghh.....okay, if this gets cancelled I may just go to get a lift to Harvey Normans and buy the Fujitisu with a 525m. It's under the 540m I was told I must get at least by gaming people, but oh well....

....though apparently Sony sell Vaios on their site? :/ Who sells their own laptops?

I don't know about ordering from Germany, I had trouble just ordering from the UK....looks good, though, the 540m is a step up above the 540m/630m (Same card, renamed)

But Acer are also apparently unreliable...my current Laptop is an Acer, though.

    Thanks, though...I'll consider it.

I have had an Acer before, lasted 5 years so that's not so bad actually.

As for ordering from any country, the usual stuff applies

Research money refund/replacement/repair policy etc .

Yeah, but according to a study, they're worse then Dell.....they are the ones that are the easiest to find with video cards, though. (Affordably)

I guess I might go with this:

    http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Acer_Aspire_5750G_1086985.html

But I'd kind of like something else (Because I've read Acers are unreliable, and because, well, it looks identical to my current one...what? It's a lot of money, I'd like something that looks new....) from somewhere else (tried to buy it already, had a little trouble, not ruling them out though), heh, but now I'm just being picky. Still, it's the best for me after the Dell.....Thanks for the help.
