heard a phone in on the radio a few weeks ago the topic being your greatest football moment. Id say 90% of people referenced Liverpools champions league final and Utds champions league final among some other premier league success storys. Talking to people over the last couple of weeks some are telling me they support there English club first then Ireland some even said they wouldn't bother watching that ****e! i personally can't believe this I've been an arsenal fan since i was a kid been to highbury numerous times but when it comes to football its My country first and foremost.with out a doubt 2002 was my personal favourite memory cause i was old enough to really let loose a couple of week ill never forget! :-) just wondering what people out there think of this?

AIB Bank was in the news during the week regarding cuts to various management staff. Well, in this context I saw a float around earlier today from the AIB Media Relations Manager (Niamh Hennessey) who just happens to be in Polan at the European Championships while the rest of us bail out her salary by foregoing our own jobs due to the recession which occurred from bailing out the banks. I hope Niamh is enjoying herself.

This is Ireland, a large section would watch Ireland in tiddle winks if it was on the box. I think your OP is more suited to the Soccer forum as it really seems to be a soccer club v country question rather than a general sports post.

You have to apply for access here. Keeps the trolling/spam to a minimum.

50 posts minimum that's me out. wouldn't post that often.elsewhere will do for now. seems very strict but i know soccer fans all have an opinion and it can get messy!
