software to change desktop icons

    Anyone recommend decent free software that can change desktop icons,remove the shortcut arrow and text underneath the icon?

    dont fancy messing oabout with regedit.
    Im running windows7 64 bit.

    Microsoft power tools. Not sure if they still release it, but it used to be a free download.

    Stardock also makes a host of such software that let you fully customize basically every aspect of how the UI looks, but its not free.
