Does anybody know what Chambers, Loafers and Ruby's are like with ID? I'm 17, going to UCC in September. Not 18 until March but I look over 18 (so everyone tells me) and I never have trouble here in Waterford because I've the ID of a guy who looks somewhat similar to me. Which is the best gay bar, and which is easiest to get in?

Chambers and Rubys are owned by the same group, and the same bouncers tend to work on both doors.
They are really sound, but do check id sometimes. I'm 31, so don't really have a problem, apart from not being 18 :|
give it a go, worst they can do is say no...

don't go to loafers that much, so can't really comment.

I've seen them turn away people from the door for having fake id's, you can chance it but don't be too surprised if they cop it. Never been to Ruby's but Chambers is good craic and tends to have a younger crowd too. :) Looking forward to hopefully going there after pride tomorrow!
