Does such a thing exist in this country?

I think IBAS in the UK would probably be the closest thing to a regulator, not sure if they have any jurisdiction over Irish based bookmakers, however.

I didn't do too much searching before posting the question here because I was sure someone would know of the relevant authority.

Quite surprising that such an authority doesn't seem to exist here.

AFAIK all the main bookies here are covered by IBAS and adhere to their decisions.
