    Can someone advise me what are the awards available. Myself and a friend are disputing at the moment. I believe there is only three, distinction , merit , pass

    Can someone please help.

    Awarding Body is DIT.

    I thought it was awarded as First Class, Second Class and Pass - but my award isn't from DIT so could be different there?

    Just found this on the DIT website actually - from http://www.dit.ie/qualityassuranceandacademicprogrammerecords/student-assessment-regulations/general/ Click on the document "General Assessment Regulations" - section five has what you are looking for I think.
    The award of a Bachelor Degree with Honours or a Taught Masters Degree award may be made with the classifications of First Class Honours, Second Class Honours or Pass as set out in Table 4 (except where otherwise specified in the Approved Programme Document).

    Table 4
    Average Mark Band Classification
    ≥ 70% First Class Honours
    60% - 69% Second Class Honours, Upper Division
    50% - 59% Second Class Honours, Lower Division
    40% - 49% Pass
