    Hello,

It would be great to get some opinions on the design of this site. Its my first time designing a website so I know its not anywhere near perfect.

    Everything can be edited easily.

    Thanks

    Nice Job!

My only complaint would be that it's a little too "under designed".

The combination of a very narrow width (why 894px?) and a lot of whitespace makes it feel rather empty.

I also don't see the need for the slightly larger a in the logo.

It's all nit-picking though. Overall, it's hard to pick fault.

favicon isn't as clear as it could be. Little white showing through on my dark background.

Excellent site. One of the best ever posted here. A minor nitpick might be that the site isn't responsive but this site is light (fast loading) and still easy to use and read on mobile.

Just wish that more phones came with NFC so the technology would progress.

Because you're Ireland based, a .ie might be a solid investment. Google likes it more since you have to register them and they are more controlled.

Some people have things against using Paypal, so other payment gateways might be good. Make it as easy as possible for someone to give you their hard earned money. Since you at least partially be selling to the tech crowd, even accepting bit coin (if it becomes acceptedly safe again).

No proper contact information - vital for trust.

No RBN - required by law.

    No Privacy Policy.

No information on Returns, cooling off periods.

** The above say avoid doing business with you until you provide the info due to lack of trust.

The blue a, i and r in airnfc_hp_banner_2.png have poor contrast against the background.

Get yourself some positive customer feedback/testimonials content.

Home link in nav bar is optionally dropable due to linked logo.

You're using shopify but only using the PayPal option, which seems a bit lacking. A significant portion of your customers (income stream) will bail out due to disliking PayPal.

The cart functions need a better and more distinct treatment.

Uses tables for layout = bad practice.

Uses inline css, <b> instead of <strong> and there's a lot of junk in the code.

SEO is very poor and needs a lot more attention.

After sending the form I get dumped on to the form page again, why? This should go to a specialised thanks page with navigation back into the site. A sitemap under the thank you would do this, but...

You don't have a sitemap page.

You don't have a 404 page which could have sitemap content.

Typoography could be a bit better: prices in bold, links underlined and consistent...

Could do with some more idiot level sample walkthroughs of how it all works, a bit like the Museum one.

Bare and basic visual design which is OK, only to a point, but not something I would be impressed by as much as the previous posters at all imho. There's plenty of faults, many basic, that need fixing.

Thanks S.M.B., Squeeonline and trick D for your feedback and complimentary comments.

S.M.B - I'll definitely consider doing a bit more work on the design. The width of the page and the size of the "a" in the logo will be addressed straight away.

Squeeonline - I'll try do something with the favicon. We're currently working on getting the .ie domain as well as giving customers a payment option other than Paypal.

We also wish there were more NFC-enabled phones. There's a high probability that Apple's next iPhone later this year will have NFC and this should help bring the technology mainstream.

tricky D - thanks for your comprehensive reply. We will begin working on everything you have pointed out. This criticism is extremely valuable to us.

Visually it's fine, if a bit plain.

Overall though, it's missing the mark. Is it a shop, is it a professional services company, etc... You need to think very clearly what your top 3 goals for the site are and communicate that directly with the content of the site.

Read these two articles, which will help you get into that mode of thinking:
