Opinions on these laptops

    Hi,

I'm looking to get a new laptop for college starting this September, studying Java, network security, data mining, digital forensics, that sort of thing. I'll only use it for studies and general use, no games.

I'm on a fairly tight budget €400-550 but I don't think I need too much in terms of hardware.

Screen size would have to be 15.6" as I'd be doing a lot of typing and using special keys while programming and keyboards on a 13" are too small for me.

I narrowed it down to two options:

    1 - Acer Aspire 5749 Corei3-2350, 4GB, 500GB

    2 - Asus Corei3-2350, 6Gb, 500GB

Option two is only there because I like Asus and the colour blue.

So do you think these laptops suit my needs? If not could you suggest otherwise?
Also since I don't start until September is it worth waiting to get one?

    Thanks kindly!
