laying bricks on concrete

    I have a concrete drive, i was wondering can i lay bricks on top of it or should i have excavated it up first???

    the concrete is in good condition flat with no cracks

    It really depends on how many bricks. I.E. if it is just a few to build a small garden wall, it should be fine but if it is anyway heavy or structural you would need tho know what foundation there is for the weight.

    Best thing is to put in a foundation and do it properly. Its a lot easier and cheaper to get it right now than repair it in a years time.

    its going to be a brick drive, so just one layer of bricks 60 mm thick
