Hi all, just a quick question with regards to car hire with Hertz. I have got a good price with renting using the Aer Lingus discount code. But I am just wondering if it is possible to request a diesel with Hertz? They don’t mention what fuel the cars take on the website. We are renting in Rome and doing a lot of driving, diesel is 12c cheaper than petrol in Rome at the moment, so obviously a diesel would make financial sense. Are most of the Hertz cars diesel? It would be a Focus or similar we would be renting. TIA

You can request a diesel by contacting the reservations number and giving your booking reference.

I've also requested a diesel at the desk in the past and been given one at no extra cost, but it's better to request it in advance.
