Hi, im new to road bikes looking for a bit of advice. What with all the bad weather we're having lately I was wondering what ppl here use for rain gear as I don't think my commuter Fred gear is really suitable anymore :-)

Overshoes, leg warmers, rain jacket and full finger gloves. With various combinations of base layers and jerseys the gear can be used in warm and cold days.

I've seen a few cyclists with clear plastic rain jackets. Where can I get one and how small do they fold up to. In other words will they fit in my jersey pocket?

Pretty much all cycling rain jackets are designed to fit into your Jersey pocket. I have a hi-vis Northwave one that I can't fault. Cost ~€35 I think.
