Misfire in a focus 1.6 TDCI

Hi I am driving a 08 focus TDCI, 70,000 miles. When I start the car from cold or if it's idle for a few hours, there is a misfire in the engine. The whole car shakes/vibrates. The airflow meters were cleaned and a new air filter put in. It was put on a computer and no errors are showing up. Any ideas/feedback would be appreciated?

Sure you didn't get some of that dodgy diesel that's going round ?

I am not sure about that now. It has been happening for months and it seems to be getting worse. Someone mentioned an injector problem, but would that error show up on the computer?

An update on this: I brought my car to a main ford dealer and they diagnosed an injector problem. It shows up no errors on the computer and the car misfires only when cold. The main dealer said it could cost up to 2,000e to fix it.
This car is still under warranty with the dealer I bought it off. He has now gone in to liquidation. Does any1 know my rights on this?

Your warranty was with the company that ceased trading, so the warranty became void as nobody is required to honor it.

Go to a diesel injector specialist, it will cost a lot less to fix.

    Edit:
Or buy one from here :Ebay and get an indy to install

Thanks for the advise. Will check ebay for prices etc.

Does it matter that i was having the problem for the last 6 months and they have checked it 3 times and said there was nothing wrong with it until i took it to the main ford dealer?
