Buying from amazon.fr/.de/.it?

    I was considering buying a laptop from Amazon.de because the i5 processor laptops tend to be much cheaper and I wouldn't get fcuked over with the exchange rate on Amazon.co.uk, I was wondering if anyone could see any potential pitfalls with buying from them apart from having to use an adapter to make the power supply compatible with UK sockets?

    Will operating system not be on the local language?? Don't need for adapter just a new power cord, can be got on ebay and adverts for a couple of EUR

    that is easily enough changed, your nearest repair shop will do it quickly, the keyboard is slightly different, its easy to get the hang of it, i have a spanish purchased netbook, btw i am tech inept.

    Or just replace the plug. They are usually moulded plugs now so you need to cut it off.

    The keyboard layout will be slightly different to what you are used to.

    It's only two letters swapped and you can get the computer to recognise the z key as Y and vice versa.

    Yes, unless it says otherwise, or if it has Windows Ultimate as that comes with all the language packs.

    You can download English Windows from here, fully legal, install it and activate using your product key (which is what you are buying) that will be stuck on underside of Laptop.
