I have been offered a job as an area manager with tesco.
I know most area managers are promoted through the ranks but i have not worked for them before.
Not sure whether to take it or not.
Anyone got any experience working for tesco's in a managerial role.
Is there much scope for futher education and futher promotion from an area manager role?
any advise would be much appreciated

Very sorry I didn't see this earlier - hope you accepted the job.
My friend works for them, says they treat him very well. Been trying to get a job with them myself the past couple of months in the Loss Prevention Dept. as that's something I have nearly a decades experience at. But unfortunately there's not much movement in that sector at the minute it seems - bad time of year & people staying in their job etc.
    Regards,
    Kev.
