As an amuteur photographer I have never given much thought to putting Photos online - but after people continuelsly telling me to do so I have decided to post them via Twitter (@benmcgilloway for anyone interested).

I'm not looking to make money or anything, but what ways should I go about putting Photos online and what info/pitfalls is there of doing so?

Use flickr or pix.ie to put your photos online. Then link to them from your twitter.

smugmug looks really good and you can sell prints from there as well if at a later stage you decide to go that way.
