Shared wall; who's responsibility?

    Hi there,
When we bought our house an estate there was a back wall dividing us from our neighbours. This wall was there when we bought the house and it seperates 4/5 houses at the front from 4/5 houses to the rear. It is a council wall as I think it was part of the old city wall.
I notice that the wall is leaning slightly into our neighbours and apart from safety issues I’d had to see it fall down or something. It is a 10 foot wall.
    Who’s responsibility is this wall?

    If it's a block built would'nt worry if it's a slight lean.

If it's genuinely an "historic" wall, contact the OPW and ask their advice?

    Thanks...

No it isn't a block wall, it is all stones etc. Very old wall, probably built by Mossie Viking or someone!

    OPW, good idea.

Probably rare to find a straight one.No harm to have it looked at though if your concerned, safety first as the actress said to the bishop.
