Hey, I have corsa C year 2001. And seller told me it doesn't have alarm, I was like okay not big of a deal, today when I parked, picked up my stuff and was ready to go I as learner am used to go around, check doors closed, fuel lid, and fold mirrors in, turns out I had a hood bit open, just left to pull the small handle and it opens, car was closed I pulled that handle and car alarm or something went off, I went into panic I mean the least I was expecting to happen is some kind of alarm to go off, then I turned key and it turned off, I closed it again and kicked wheel few times, alarm didn't go off, so is that some kind of small thing or what?

Probably sensors on doors and boot so the alarm only goes off if something is opened, is there a fob for central locking?

Yes but it's not working as insides of key are damaged, I am sure I could get replacement from opel but I am not bothered with that really.

The seller didn't know it has an alarm, but it has... Do you have remote locking? Because can't believe turning the key in the lock would work (never had an Opel, so may be wrong here...)

I have 2 keys, both have buttons but both key insides are damaged, key can: open drivers door, open all doors, and close windows (if that tells anything)

If it goes off when you use the key that's fine. The only one i had was connected to the remote, so if i tried to open the door with key the alarm would go off...
If you can switch it off easily, then no problem there. Alarm is only a disturbance these days really.

So do you have to put that key into the lock, or is the remote working?

    What is damaged?

I always open and close car with key, the small metal thingies are broken off that are linked to battery in keys.

Not sure, but as long as alarm won't go off when you enter the car, it should be fine. Just suprised to see both keys for one car broken in the same way...
Do the buttons on the remote work at all? Or not at all?

Try to be specific here, or maybe put some pictures up, because i can't figure out what these thingies are... Do you mean battery cover? Just a guess...

Here it is, as you see both microchips have 1 button broken off not even there, then one of them has some kind of metal bits inside, also inside is bit oily so I suppose previous owner had them dropped somewhere or something.

Now i see... And i am shocked. Don't even want to know what happened to those keys.

To summarize : You only use the actual key to open and close the door.
Since using the actual key turned the noise off, you are ok.

Normally the remote engages an alarm: Close/Alarm on - Open/Alarm off.

You just use your key - if it works, it works...

Still shocked about the condition of the keys, if you like some diy, why not put them together? (Chose the best parts available tough...)

They are put together, I mean into a solid key I broke it down just now, if you mean buy buttons and solder them, I am too crap with such small soldering job.

It seems like the buttons are there, and the circuit (if works), should be ok. Don't be fooled by the fact that yours has more than one button - only one on the circuit, so it is possible that is the only one supposed to work with your spec...

If you know someone who is smart with electronics, let him have a look. If not, and you are not too concerned about an alarm itself - let it be.

I am still shocked to see keys left like that, honestly.

OK - so you opened them up to take the pictures? I have to go anyway, maybe someone else will know more about those Opel remotes??? Goodnight.
