Has anyone come across any midnight listings for TDKR in Dublin?

Are you referring to the Eye Cinema or the Omniplex?

I was told today that the midnight showing in Dundrum has been cancelled. Has anyone heard why? Are there any other midnight showings?

I emailed Dundrum Cinema to query how I could book the midnight showing. They replied and said, 'I'm afraid our midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises had to be
cancelled for reasons outside of our control.'

I'm taking it that you haven't been informed?!

Are any other cinemas showing at midnight?

The Screen Cinema mentioned on their Twitter page that midnight showings of TDKR have been banned by the distributor. I'm not sure why but I think it's to do with time zones...

Thanks for the update Phasers. That's a shame.

The official reason we received was so that it wouldn't conflict with midnight showings in New York. How true that is I don't know but that's the official line from the distributors. It's weird as it's showing in Australia nearly two days before here.

Earliest showings here will be at 5am should cinemas decide to run the film at that time.

Dundrum cinema didn't bother to inform anyone, it seems. And they appear to have known about this for nearly a week....

It seems that all Irish cinemas aren't allowed to have midnight screenings. Rather silly I think.

Hi, I want to take someone to see the dark knight rises for their birthday as they have been waiting for it to come out. Are there any premier showings or theatres that would make it a little extra special for an occasion.....don't want it to be a typical night just going to the cinema, may come into dublin and stay to do some other stuff aswell. Any suggestions welcome, thanks!

The nearest thing to a premier showing you will find is the 5am(yes AM) screening of The Dark Knight Rises in the Lighthouse Cinema Smithfield on opening day.
It definitely can be described as 'extra special'. But also can be described as a bit crazy! :)

would you say this will be sold out in many cinemas for around a 2pm showing on opening day ?

I saw the avengers on opening day and didnt book my tickets at around the same time and the cinema was only half full. i dunno if i should take the risk for this though
