Getting confused about the student grants

My daughter finished a Fetac 5 plc in April and has gotten a place in another college to go on further in the same field to diploma level. There wasn't an option to continue on in the same PLC college, as they don't offer the level 6 or further. Looking at student finance.ie it seems that she might not be eligible for a grant as the holder of a level 5, will start making calls tomorrow, but does anyone have any prior experience? Thanks in advance

Is she going from level 5 to level 5? If she is going from level 5 to level 6 she should be eligible.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
