First post!! I would just like to say I find this forum so informative and helpfull so thanks in advance! I am at blocklaying stage on ground slab of 3000sqft dormer bungalow. Myself and better half have "both" agreed on a natural stone we like and would like to have a dry stone finish as apposed to mortar joints showing. So basically we are just wondering what if any are the pro's and con's of this method. Thanks again!

Much easier for rain water to penetrate to the inside of the stone, so just make sure you have a backing block instead of using the stone as a leaf itself. If done right it can give a fantastic appearance, very textured and with the right stone it looks very natural.
