yes - time and half on sunday. 15 per hour.

basic rate is €10 per hour plus productivity bonus (calculated on the sales of the store divided by the numebr of staff hours worked each week).

so usually hourly rate is around 11 to 11.60 per hour
    (JUST FOR STORE ASSISTANT).

    bank holiday is double time.

    no problem

oh and theres a time and a quarter payment for working any hour between 12 midnight and 7am (classed as unsocialable hours) so thats an entitlement by law.
this would apply to morning staff (those starting at 5.45AM.)

    lidl also pay this.
    Aldi dont pay it.

lidl you get paid by the minute.
aldi pay by the quarter hour worked.

Cheers for that! Done interviews for both of them this week don't no which to take if offered both, although that's probably unlikely! Any advice on who would be better to work for?

    Hi,

Just wondering if you could give me a bit of info on the interview process for Aldi, I have one next week and not really sure what to expect.

    Thanks.

Be able to work to time deadlines - pallets must be done in 20mins. Be flexible - u would be working as early as 5.45am and in the afternoon shift up to 10.15. .......... Be a team player cause the staff structure in any shift is small so you must be pro active enough to things yourself and spot things that need to bedone....... Good Mathis .ie subtracting and adding at till........... Motivated by the act that the company has a career pathway.... Assistan t to deputy to assist manager to store manager if positions arise..... Energetic.. Friendly smile for till work... .. No task is too menial for you ie not beneath you, cleaning toilets, canteen, spillages, glass breaking..... Good eye and aware of shop lifters... Beware of young people with trying to purchase alcohol so good judge of person and strong character to refuse sale if too young or drunk.... Willingness to listen to customer complaints and deal with them in an apprpropriate manner....... Plenty info there. Also contract willb 20 hrs but most if. Not. All staff in stores get between 30 to 35 hrs but they can just give u 20 if they want...
