    Hey I have applied for a post grad and I am required to write a 600 word personal statement. Can anyone help me?
    What am I expected to include here

    why you want the course, why you feel you are suitable for it, what skills you have, what hobbies you enjoy.

    They expect you to show your 'passion' for the subject. For my (successful) personal statement in History, for example, the Career Development Centre advised to name a historical figure that inspired me to illustrate this. Wouldn't really mention hobbies unless you can relate them to the course in some way.

    Interestingly, my course staff were keen to find out what we had done to get to the interview stage and how we intended to sustain ourselves financially if we were going to commit full time... just a thought. 600 words isnt a lot.
