    With permission from the mods:
ArcadeCon is back and bigger than last year! Anime, Gaming, Movies, Music and Comics!

    ...the end is coming...

    Friday 13th - 15th July, Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin 4.

With nine special guests, two floors of gaming, hours of events, tournaments, workshops and panels, ArcadeCon is a weekend no geek should miss out on!

A retro room dedicated to classic consoles like the Amiga, Super Nintendo and Mega Drive will be nestled between Arcade machines while upstairs all the latest consoles will be found with tournaments organised to cater to everyone from racing fans to first-person shooters as well as some beat-em up action! The weekend will also see two card game tournaments take place as well as several rpgs including a Resident Evil inspired survival horror game.

Topping last years seven special guests, ArcadeCon is pleased to announce we have nine guests covering all aspects of the convention:
    • Quinton Flynn – Voice actor for hundreds of video game, anime and cartoon characters.
    • Alan Early – Author of the ‘Father of Lies’ books
    • Louise Coghlan – Music journalist and PR consultant to some up and coming Irish bands
    • Nick Roche – Lead artist on the Dr. Who, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformer comics.
    • Tomm Moore – Director of the Oscar nominated ‘The Secret of Kells’
    • Chris Baugh – Director of ‘Boys from County Hell’
    • UpRoar Comics – Award winning publishing company behind the ‘Zombie Hi’ series.
    • NeverMind Games – Irish video game developer behind ‘Solar Sprint’

As well as hosting some amazing special guests, ArcadeCon will also be screening some exclusive previews including a look at Tomm Moore's upcoming project, exclusive clips of 'My Other Me', a documentary about cosplayers and a full screening of 'Boys from County Hell'.

Friday night and Saturday night will see major events taking place, with Night of the Living Cabaret playing host to burlesque performers, a karaoke competition and a DJ till late while Saturday will transform the convention grounds into a living hell with The Nightmare Ball featuring Jet Set Radio, Professor Elemental and Pole Dancers with music till late!

Pre-reg tickets are already on sale and going fast with the addition of a VIP ticket this year. For more information please see 'www.arcadecon.ie' and be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

Further to this and why I've also elected to post here is because this years theme is Zombies, there'll be Zombie Survival Guide, the Dublin Zombie Walk crowd are coming, there will be a workshop on Zombie makeup
    and screenings.
