How deap do the problems with the national team go

Ok so we were shown up in the first test V NZ but they really are a class appart.

But we seem to have been on a downward slide since 09 there are very obvious problems players being picked on rep rather than form and having seemingly abandoned the plans to play an expansive game. Is this down to the coach or does the blame lie with the blazers within the IRFU or is it a lack of confidence within the players in stepping up to international rugby.

I am not that well informed on this but to me there doesnt seem to have been much change above coaching level in the IRFU since the game went pro is it a case of a amature minded organisation trying to guide a professional team.

Will a top class coach really solve our problems I dont no but some kind of change is needed. We have options in this respect o shea if they insist on an irish man schmidt if he would take it? But the question is if the national coach allowed to make all the selection/tactical decisions with his selectors or is there interference from above because of central contracts.

If the problems do lie with the IRFU itself is there really a way they can be resolved?

wrong coach picking poor tactics with poor team selections.

our provinces performances are putting the national team's performances to shame.
