    Hi there

Just wondering if someone could maybe give me some advice. I'm wanting to do a QA tester course, this would be entry level as I have no background in it. Would anybody know of a place in Ireland that I could do it preferably online or part time.

    Thanks in advance !:D

    Hiya,

Are you looking for manual testing work or are you looking to write code for testing purposes?

I know there are a few places that offer the ISEB/ISTQB software testing certifications but these are for manual testing only.

What kind of testing work are you looking to do and I'll be able to give you more detailed advice?

otherwise, check out http://www.sqs.com who offer training in Dublin

    Hi Red

Thanks for your reply. It would be manual testing work. I have seen the ISTQB online but my question is this course is only about 3 days, that wouldn't be enough to work as a manual tester, so what other options do I have?

    Thanks very much once again.

    Hi,
    Read book:
"Testing Computer Software" - Cem Kaner etc. The best book!
Search internet- there are some places offering online courses. For example http://www.qatutor.com/12-qa-lectures/ First 6 lectures free- it will give you some understanding.
    And more: http://www.testingeducation.org/BBST/ , http://mavericktester.com/ and others...
Search youtube- you can find lots of videos- for example http://www.youtube.com/user/shaiksw/videos and lots more.
    Read http://www.satisfice.com/ ; http://www.sqaforums.com and other websites
Later on http://thenewboston.org/tutorials.php will be very helpful
Free online lessons http://www.udacity.com/ but better to have some knowledge
So, search internet and you will find even some amazing websites
    Good luck!
