Texture streaming not too good?

Not sure if it is since the update or not but recently my texture streaming has been really really bad. I'm walking / driving along and the ground is pretty much 1 color and then after a second or two it changes to its proper texture. Is this the update? Is it my old playstation? Google didn't really help me so I hope…

Google didn't really help me so I hope somebody here can. How can I make it better?
