Bangkok Airport query

    Hi there,
    I'm arriving into Bankok airport at 6.45am and am travelling directly onto Laos. There is a flight at 9am and I'm wondering if I should book it or would that be a bit tight on time to make it? Dont know how big Bangkok airport is, how straightforward transfer is or if there are different terminals.
    Advice much appreciated before I go and book flights. Many thanks

    You should have no problem getting the transfer. It's only 1 terminal, big enough but nothing that can't be done in less than 2 hours

    Are you traveling by two separate airlines? Many people report having experienced really long queues to clear through immigration upon departure and sometimes even when entering. Last time I was there in April I sailed through the inbound and outbound immigration in under 5 mins but I was not traveling at peak times, they were adding extra desks also to speed up the process which might be nearly open now. Don't exceed your duty free limit or they will fine you heavily in BKK also.

    Thanks for the info esp the tip on duty free allowances!
    Yes travelling Etihad to Bangkok & then Laos Airline on to Vientiane.
    All the guide books say that I can just get a Laos visa on arrival. Is this correct?
