GTP vs PGCE

Hi everyone. I am looking for information from anyone who has recently completed either the GTP (Graduate Teacher Programme) or the PGCE (Primary Education) in the UK.

I am hoping to begin one of these courses next year (2013) and am looking to find out as much as possible about them. I have read up on both but would very much like to hear from anyone who has recently completed either.

GTP - There seems to be very few places available on this course. How difficult is it to get into? Did you have much trouble finding a training provider/school/funding? How was the programme? How demanding/challenging? Do you wish you had done a PGCE?

PGCE - Where did you do it? Where are the best places to do it? Are fees around the 9,000stg mark? Did you get any of the tuition fee covered? Any general observations and/or comments about the course?

I have a 2:2 degree in an unrelated field and will have had about 2.5 years full time experience working in a Public School (albeit in Korea teaching English, so not worth very much I'm guessing..).

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
