Has anyone here ever failed the driving test, be it in a car, truck or bus and appealed. If so were you successful ?

Took this from the RSA website.
    Appealing a failed test

If you feel you have been failed unfairly and want to challenge the decision, you can appeal to the District Court under Article 33 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961. The Court may endorse the decision of the tester or, alternatively, direct that a further test be offered to you free of charge.

Honestly I doubt anyone would. Appealing won't make you pass the test.

It is a very big step. Why do you want to appeal?

    I don't, I'm just curious. Why would it be a big step ? :)

Am I right in saying though that you are not allowed record your driving test ?

you can request a supervisor,if you went through so many tests with an instructor unaccompanied..

Because the original result will either be upheld or you will be granted a retest at no further cost (i.e. the result will not be changed). It is simply easier to reapply in the normal fashion rather than waiting for months for a court appearance etc.

could i appeal my test ?
I Failed my test because i went over speed bumps too hard according to my tester .which is bull . i wasn't speeding over them.they were not even big. plus i didnt indicate when overtaking a cyclists which was in a big wide hard shoulder. why would I? he was not an obstruction. he wasn't in my path. its just a money racket. I had 4 faults with reaction to hazards only 6 overall. 2 fr bumps and 1 for the cyclist.

Your time would be better spent getting yourself a good driving instructor and more practice on the roads.

If you don't understand why you failed, then it means that you were probably justifiably failed.

Appealing a failure is really only a good idea if you understand why you failed but dispute that the fault occurred.

i do understand but i think it was very very harsh. plus he marked the cyclist in the hazard section. shouldn't that go in section 6 clearance overtaking cyclists. im not gonna bother appealing it anyway. dont think there would b any point really.

Appealing the test wont get you a pass, it'll just get you a retest.

Also, please don't drag up old threads. Just start a new one.
