It often is. But usually only at some of the bigger test centres.

I have a test this Saturday in Churchtown, and an instructor told me Tallaght also do Saturday tests.

I didn't particularly want a Saturday test and I'm doubly gutted since, according to him, the Rathgar testers do their o/t in Churchtown and you have a 50-50 chance of having to do the horrid Rathgar route if you get Churchtown on a Saturday.

If you posted what test centre your friend would be doing it at, someone should be able to tell you offhand.
