I'm thinking of organising a work evening out for this Thursday 14th at Leopardstown. Looking at the pavilion package thing at the moment. Does anyone have any experience of this? Would there be any atmosphere? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

The Thursday nights in Leopardstown are good craic especially if the weather is good. I'd usually just stay in Fillies bar as from there it's a a handy walk down to the parade ring/bookies. The Pavilion is a bit away from the action and has a bit of a restaurant feel about it rather than a race meeting venue and to me lacks a real race meeting feel. It's away from the action a bit placed halfway up the straight and a decent walk to the parade ring etc. There music is usually is held outside close to the big top tent and with the Irish match on i'd imagine it could be fairly full. There's a nightclub open afterwards aswell if your looking for a night on the tiles.
