Guys I'm stumped as to how to solve this problem. My dad just got a smartphone (Galaxy Note) and I went to help him get set up with it and get his emails on there. His main email address is his info@domain.com from his website which I run on my blacknight hosting account. It's just set up as a pop3 and he downloads to his computer using outlook express.

When I set this email address up on his phone, I only then realise that actually the phone will only pick up emils that are on the server - which have not been downloaded to his computer yet. So I suppose its ok that he can get the emails that have come in that day if he is out of the office, but he cannot get the ones that came in that morning to his computer for example.

I totally forgot about this - in all the companies I have worked for I just set the email address up on my phone and I have it there as well as in my outlook. I assume it uses IMAP (?) and the emails stay on the server and download to both the phone and the computer.

I'm wondering if I can set this up for him too? Is it just a configuration change or it is a lot more complicated than that? What's the best/easiest way to set it up so he gets the same emails on both - and (hopefully) if he deletes off one it will delete off the other?

    Any advice is much appreciated!
    Thanks

In outlook express under the blacknight account settings untick delete mails on server, or tick leave messages on server, should sort it!
