    I would definitely go with the rec if it's chugging and big lower end you want.

    Nickelback use a triple rectifier for their heavy sound, as do Linkin Park who I guess are fairly close to the bands you posted.

    I'v had a few mates say that as well.

    I'v been looking at the videos on youtube of various bands live guitar rig run downs.

    Its annoying that the carvin is so new as it did impress me, but I havnt heard any feed back on it yet from other artists.
