Carvin legacy 3 vs mesa boogie rectifier

Hey guys
I'm looking at getting either a Carvin Legacy 3 (new steve vai signature amp) or the mesa boogie rectifier.

I'm not worried about the clean tones as I'v a marshall DSL100 for the cleans.

What im mainly looking for is that chuggy sound.

I'm aiming to get somewhere between this sound here (Don't judge me on the example tracks btw )

I would definitely go with the rec if it's chugging and big lower end you want.

Nickelback use a triple rectifier for their heavy sound, as do Linkin Park who I guess are fairly close to the bands you posted.

I'v had a few mates say that as well.

I'v been looking at the videos on youtube of various bands live guitar rig run downs.

Its annoying that the carvin is so new as it did impress me, but I havnt heard any feed back on it yet from other artists.
