Typo on Ryanair Boarding pass

    Hey all,
my brother is flying with Ryanair to Rome on Wednesday, he checked in online today and noticed that he had misspelt his last name when booking the flights i.e. he typed it with one "r" where there should have been two, as on his passport.

Should he contact Ryanair to change this? He was told it'll cost about €240 to change (insane considering the price of the ticket), or should he just leave it?

Has anyone else had any experience with this?

I done exactly the same thing last year.

I just called up and admitted my own stupidity and they were very cool about it. The guy on the phone changed it there and then and waived the fee as it was only one letter! I guess it might come down to who you get on the phone though.

Funny thing was if they hadn't done it for free, it would have been cheaper to just buy another flight!

    Hope your brother gets sorted.

I spelled a name on a boarding pass different to the passport, and like ferrigan101 I rang up and they changed it for free.

Thanks again for all the responses, my brother phoned them up yesterday and they sorted it for him free of charge.
